Cleaner-Seller
We make a lot of vehicle paint comparisons here, they are a lot different but in a way they are the same as far as principal. For my actual job I paint vehicles/panels and also detail vehicles. I started when I was 16 years old, and have detailed over 2,000 vehicles. I always take pride in my work and the safety of your cards.

Un-Fixable Issue
White’ning Edges
This is ink removed from the surface - there is no bringing this back
Sharpie Marks
(Sharpie contains alcohol - comically alcohol is used to remove sharpie however on a surface that is absorbs it will only spread it out further)
Deep Scratches
If a scratch is deep enough it cannot be removed that is because the deep scratch is actually into the surface at that point - you cannot add surface back to a card therefore you can not remove the scratch - In a way it is similar to a vehicles Base Coat/Clear Coat - on a standard polish detailers remove 75-85% of the marks, if you want to remove the rest you have to go into deeper methods such as wet sanding but obviously that is NOT something you can do to a trading card.
Card Back
We have seen improvements but overall back scratches are very tough to get out. Compare it to car paint, you cant buff (polish) scratches out of base coat but you can out of clear coat. So think of it this way, the holo is a clear coat and everything thing that is not a holo is a base coat.
Crease Marks
Creases marks where the card has been bent or creased cannot be fixed, this flex's the layers of the card and often causes the top layer to bubble and sometimes to the point where it removes surface off the top layer around the crease lines.
Textured Card
---Dents---
Cards with texture such as the new modern cards for instance Brilliant Stars Charizard Alt Art or most Japanese modern SR / SAR Trainers have texture, these textured cards have little fins - these fins can be bent while trying to repair dents in the back of the card. For that reason I do not suggest dent repair for textured cards.
---Holo---
